Our Watershed
The Nippersink Creek Watershed encompasses over 200 square miles of land in northeast McHenry County, Illinois, as well as portions of Kenosha County and Walworth County in Wisconsin.

Nippersink Watershed Association and Illinois State University (with funding from the Illinois EPA), partnered to develop the “Lawns for the Nippersink” campaign, geared at educating local watershed residents and retailers about the value of using phosphorus-free fertilizers on lawns.

Our Mission
It is the mission of the Nippersink Watershed Association, working in partnership with watershed stakeholders, to pursue watershed planning, outreach, and implementation actions that will protect, preserve, and enhance the irreplaceable natural resources found in the Nippersink Creek watershed.
